We’ve been quite quiet as we took a break from p We’ve been quite quiet as we took a break from posting for a while.

It's been a crazy year (as we’ve shared before) and to be honest, we haven't been out in the trailer exploring much.

The trip to Korea for the World Scout Jamboree was crazy (if you caught any of the news about that during the summer).

We’re still making adventure plans and we’ll aim to share more again soon.

Today we were delighted to attend the wedding of our neighbour whom we have known since he was 5.

Every so often we get cleaned up and go out!
So… we arrived at the jamboree and we’ve spent So… we arrived at the jamboree and we’ve spent the past couple of days getting things all set up and learning our jobs in preparation for 40,000 kids arriving! 😁

The wether is (to put it mildly) crazy humid hot! We have seen daytime temperatures in the 43c / 110f range every day. Needless to say I’m drinking a TON of water.

Despite the temperatures and less than perfect campsites (I’ll save that for another post) it’s been great to see friends from all over the world arrive.

The wifi service seems to finally be up and running at the jamboree so I’ll aim to share some more.

There are about 387 crazy Canucks here and it’s always flattering to hear how much people love the Canadians as we walk around in our maple leaf red shirts.

Two days away from travel to Soul for the World Jamboree and we got tent set up directions sent to us.

Very clever use of materials to keep us dry. Here’s hoping the feet from my cot don’t slip through the holes in the pallet!

Bring on the adventure!

However, we managed to squeak out an adventure to visit some old friends and cruise around the Toronto Islands⛵️

It's been a LONG time since we’ve had a chance to visit @therogerpetersen on the boat.

A Sunday spent chatting, laughing, eating and cruising was great medicine for the soul!

The sailer in me (Colin) loved this… judgement is still pending on some others if this is a dream way to travel or not 😆

We opted to attend two show this year and both of them were fabulous!

On Friday we saw RENT and the cast and production are incredible! The audience was on their feet in a standing ovation before the last notes had finished! We have Seasons of Love stuck in our heads…

And now for something completely different…

On Saturday we silly walked into see Spamalot! The hilarity of Monty Python plays out perfectly on stage. The crowd, and cast, were in stitches of laughter throughout the show!

We are so grateful to have this amazing powerhouse of theatre so close to where we live.

First weekend out with the “Cottage” and we ha First weekend out with the “Cottage” and we have been dealing with a temperamental tongue jack! 😖

Arriving at the storage yard the jack gave a “click” and nothing more when trying to lower itto connect on the truck. So I took the cowl off to manually lower it on. Frustrated, but happy to be on the move...

Then we get to the park expecting to manually lift the trailer from the tuck and it worked!

So, the long weekend began with some frustration but worked out.

This Jack stand is clearly on it's last legs!
