That’s a wrap! We finally got to the storage ya That’s a wrap!

We finally got to the storage yard and put on the new RV cover on for the winter! ❄️

The last time we used one, it ripped and shredded to bits during the winter storms. This is a different yard and we are hoping it’s a little more wind sheltered. 🤞🏻

Sadly… it would have been a nice day to be out in the RV. That said, there is ice forming on the ponds by the house so it would have been a cold night in her!

Sleep well to spring big girl!

Winterizing is always sad 😔

Yeah for outdoor time to unwind and relax!

The heritage home is stunning and pairing tasty food and good beer is always a good combo!

This brewpub building is near our parents new home so I expect we’ll be “parking” here more often now 😄

Better late than never! We finally got around to Better late than never!

We finally got around to making our hot sauce. We buy the pepper when they are in season at @stjacobsmarket and roast the jalapeños over a charcoal fire at camp.

This preps u for two hot sauces.
1) Smoked jalapeños, green chillies and poblano
2) Red hot with scotch bonnet, red chillies, cherry bombs and habanero peppers

So about 8 bourse after starting we ended up with 147 jars of hot sauce!

There is NO WAY I’d want to cook this indoors! The spicy aroma smells amazing, but had each of us coughing if took a deep breath. 🥵 🌶️

Cheers to good times and good foods!
I've been working remotely in the Bunkie trailer m I've been working remotely in the Bunkie trailer moochdocking at a friend's place for a few days.

Having the flexibility to grab the small trailer for trips when I'm going solo vs the full-sized trailer is super convenient.

I made note of a few maintenance items I need to address for next spring:

- support legs need new paint
- the propane furnace thermostat isn't working
- New propane hose assembly (it's cracking)
- I am hoping I can finally order a replacement screen door. We have been waiting on one for about 3 years now as they were back ordered throughout all of covid and it was broken during our first year renting her 🤨 (we don't rent this one on a platform any longer, just loan outs to friends)
- New water heater anode rod

All in all not bad but, trailers need maintenance too!

I didn't end up winterizinfbher yet and the hand pump broke… next weekend I'll have to get both trailers done.

Get tropical and go see butterflies! 🦋

It’s been a while since we visited the @cambridgebutterflyconservatory and it was so nice to go back and visit. Last time we were here the kid was MUCH smaller and so were the plants in the building!

It was a perfect way to spend a couple hours wandering through to enjoy the colours and soak up some “indoor nature”

This weekend saw us back out in the big trailer fo This weekend saw us back out in the big trailer for some time as a family to enjoy Thanksgiving. (Yes, it is a much earlier holiday in Canada 🇨🇦)

It’s been a few years since we spent the holiday at Valens Conservation Area and we were nicely tucked into a tree sheltered spot that gave us a nice break from the wind and rain.

Fortunately there was very little line up for the dumping station this afternoon when we left (I spared you photos of that fun stuff).

Sadly, this might be the last weekend for the Cottage this year. Most of the campgrounds shut down after this weekend and of the ones that are open, water and sewer facilities are few and far between.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We’ve been quite quiet as we took a break from p We’ve been quite quiet as we took a break from posting for a while.

It's been a crazy year (as we’ve shared before) and to be honest, we haven't been out in the trailer exploring much.

The trip to Korea for the World Scout Jamboree was crazy (if you caught any of the news about that during the summer).

We’re still making adventure plans and we’ll aim to share more again soon.

Today we were delighted to attend the wedding of our neighbour whom we have known since he was 5.

Every so often we get cleaned up and go out!
So… we arrived at the jamboree and we’ve spent So… we arrived at the jamboree and we’ve spent the past couple of days getting things all set up and learning our jobs in preparation for 40,000 kids arriving! 😁

The wether is (to put it mildly) crazy humid hot! We have seen daytime temperatures in the 43c / 110f range every day. Needless to say I’m drinking a TON of water.

Despite the temperatures and less than perfect campsites (I’ll save that for another post) it’s been great to see friends from all over the world arrive.

The wifi service seems to finally be up and running at the jamboree so I’ll aim to share some more.

There are about 387 crazy Canucks here and it’s always flattering to hear how much people love the Canadians as we walk around in our maple leaf red shirts.

Two days away from travel to Soul for the World Jamboree and we got tent set up directions sent to us.

Very clever use of materials to keep us dry. Here’s hoping the feet from my cot don’t slip through the holes in the pallet!

Bring on the adventure!

I (Colin) am heading off to the World Scout Jamboree for 16 days starting next Friday.

There are over 40,000 youth and 8,000 volunteers converging in South Korea and I need to pack smart!

40c heat in the rainy season of Korea means prepping for heat and rain!

I’ve almost got everything I need laid out…

A few things left to get tomorrow!
